A hole has more presence than a filled spot, and I have come to notice a few. They are mysterious. How far down does it go, and where will it lead? I fill one hole, and another one opens. My subconscious reminds me of the holes at night. “You’re never satisfied, are you?” I suppose not, but it makes for compelling dreams.
